Cambrils calls to find a marrow donor for little Joel
Cambrils. Costa Dorada. On Tuesday, August 18th, at 12 am, at the door of the City Council of Cambrils will be an act of support to child Joel Rodriguez, of 6 years, of suffering marrow aplasia and urgently needs a transplant. With this call, the town of Cambrils want to support the family and call upon the public to get a donor for Joel, besides giving a warning about the need for donations. The only possible treatment for Joel is bone marrow transplantation (BMT) from a compatible donor. Normally, the ideal donor is a sibling or the parents themselves. Only 1 in 4 patients with compatible family donor, and in the case of Joel and his twin brother and their parents are, and that is why Joel needs urgently to find a match that allows you to overcome the disease.
