The Council enables an area to practice kite on the beach of El Arenal in l'Hospitalet
Hospitalet de l'Infant. Costa Dorada. City Council Vandellòs Hospitalet de l'Infant enabled a beach area for the practice of kitesurfing. This is the third area in Catalonia enabled for this water sport. Involves the use of a star athlete traction pulling strings for 4 (2 are fixed to the bar and the other two pass through the center of the bar and attached to the body by a harness), allowing the slide on water through a table. The other two are located in the Ebro Delta and Sant Pere Pescador, as pointed manager of the Tourist Board and the Valley Hospitalet Parrot, Eva Gregorio. The area chosen by the board is located in Playa del Arenal, located in space before the Camping Cala Geese (facing the sea about 200 meters left) and between the football field (looking at the sea right about 300 m). Was considered most appropriate for their low numbers of bathers, as argued De Gregorio. The large number of practitioners kite there in that area has always been the main reason to regulate the activity space. From now on, swimmers and athletes share a kite space without having to bother each other. For this sport, has had to mark a space on the sand, marked with signs, and has had to set up a lane • maritime departure of athletes and a series of buoys to delineate the distance to the beach area. It is worth mentioning the large number of practitioners who are always kite in that area. In order to teach the sport still has a short history but has evolved greatly and because of its spectacular has spread rapidly, the Nautical Salou-Cambrils-Mont-Roig Beach and Miami-il Vandellòs Hospitalet de l'Infant gave approval to the proposal to create a school that not only teach, but to control the area. The school is called 'Kiteschool ". Those interested can go to the Marine Base in Hospitalet or contact the Nautical. The price is 20 euros an hour and a basic course lasts four hours.
