Repsol announces a new edition of Project T-6000

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. Repsol has opened this March 29, 2011, the eighth edition of "Project T-6000," which is intended to 7,000 euros. The main objective of this initiative, created and promoted by the company, is collaborating in the restoration and preservation of elements of traditional and popular culture in Tarragona. The "Project T-6000" is open to all entities that make up the People's Parade of Tarragona, but also other groups who wish to carry out projects which, in one way or another, can be incorporated into the festive procession or the sequence ritual celebrations, always referring to one of the following aspects: • Restoration and recovery of musical elements used in the People's Parade, for example instruments, sheet music, recordings, etc.. • Restoration and / or recovery of costumes and implements specific elements of courtship. • Recovery of elements that have formerly been part of the festival parade Popular dances, theatrical characters, animal, allegorical representations, rocks, appetizers, spoken dances, etc.. • Activities to disseminate the contents of the heritage festival, exhibitions, fairs, and educational materials. Ultimately, any initiative that has direct relation with the elements of courtship, with the participation of these elements in their outputs and actions. Projects can be submitted until April 30th. From here will be studied by the Technical Committee of the "Project T-6000" is'escollirà the winning project from among all submitted. The verdict will be announced in early June. In the year 2010 was declared void to understand that none of the proposals in line with the rules of the call, and the provision of "Project T-6000" gave to the House Festival of Tarragona in order to restore and improve the items on display holidays. Repsol has a long history in terms of collaborations with various elements of the courtship of the popular festivals of Tarragona. The Devils Dance children, dance to Serrallonga, the Cucafera, Moixiganga Tarragona, Dance of the Seven Deadly Sins, the Dance Cossi, Negritus, the vibrant small, the Ox Small, Small Eagle and Small Ball Cercolets, are clear examples of the commitment of Repsol with popular culture and traditional of Tarragona.
