The Municipal Tourism Board of Salou, in collaboration with the Department of Sports Promotion of the City Council of the capital of the Costa Daurada, has opened two spaces on Llevant beach (next to the Plaça de les Autonomous Communities) so that families and children can enjoy numerous
activities and games on the beach. These spaces are the Beach Family Area and the mini club. Here we give you all the information about these activities.
The
Beach Family Area:
- Fun activities and workshops. You can also play and do sports
- Free
- Parents/Guardians must remain with children
- Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 5pm to 8 pm
The
mini club:
- Kindergarten Parents/guardians can leave children for up to 2 hours in the care of qualified instructors
- Open space and shading of 200m2
- Boys and girls from 4 to 10 years
- Directed games, water and workshops
- With previous reservation
- Prices: 3.25 euros for 1 hour and 5.30 euros for 2 hours
- Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 1pm and from 5pm to 7pm

PortAventura World brings the characters
Woody and Winnie to the Passeig Jaume I during the summer
to sing and dance with all the children. You can find them on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, at 8 pm, in Plaça Francesc Germà (next to the Luminous Fountain).
Sports activities
Also on Llevant beach, the Sports Promotion Council makes available to users, a series of guided sports activities, from July 1st to August 31st:
- Gymnastics: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, from 10.30 a.m. to 11.15 a.m.
- Zumba: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, from 5 to 6 p.m.
- Aerobics: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from 10.30 a.m. to 11.15 a.m.
- Yoga/Pilates: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from 5 to 6 p.m.
At the presentation of these spaces, the
mayor and president of the Tourism Board, Pere Granados, recalled that Salou was the first Catalan municipality to obtain the Family Tourism certificate in 2003, and declared that "our beaches are always prepared so that families, adults and children, can enjoy an entertainment offer adapted to your needs and tastes".
For his part, the
councilor for Sports Promotion, Daniel López, explained that "the sports activities that take place in the Beach Family Area are very well received by residents and visitors, since they take advantage of the fact 'go to the beach, to practice outdoor sports'.
