Salou opens the beaches and coves
Salou. Costa Dorada. 25 May 2020. Since this May 25 when the Costa Dorada has entered Phase 2 of lack of confidence, the City of Salou has decreed the opening of the beaches and coves of the municipality, although appealing to collaboration, civic behavior and individual and collective responsibility to maintain streak coronavirus.
The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has dictated a side where the indications of the Ministry of Health established in Order SND / 414/2020, of May 16, are collected, regarding the measures to be taken into account for the opening from the beaches.
Specifically, the indications are:
1.- It is necessary that you maintain the minimum safety distance of 2 meters with respect to other users.
2.- It is necessary to protect yourself with a mask, if it is not possible to maintain the distance of 2 meters.
3.- You should use gloves and hand hygiene products if you touch foreign materials and elements.
4.- The groups must be a maximum of 15 people, except in the case of people who live together.
5.- The practice of sports activities and those activities allowed by the health authorities are allowed, provided they can be carried out individually and without physical contact, and maintaining a minimum distance of 2 meters.
6.- In the event of any symptom compatible with Covid-19, it is necessary to go as soon as possible to the nearest health center.
7.- Children's play areas remain closed, including those on the beaches.
8.- The showers, foot washes, fountains and sinks will also be closed.
The Salou City Council has produced some posters with infographics that include these basic safety and self-protection measures, which will be placed this week on the beaches.
For his part, the mayor of Salou has appealed to the citizens to act responsibly and contribute to guaranteeing the health of the population as a whole and the safety of the capital of the Costa Dorada as a top tourist destination.
Capacity control
The Salou Local Police will work together with the lifeguard staff to guarantee the safety of people and control the capacity of the beaches and coves of the municipality, and compliance with hygiene and safety measures.
Also, as explained by the councilor for Beaches, Concessions and Authorizations, Jesús Barragán, "the two webcams of the municipality will be used to monitor the movement and influx of people to the beaches of Salou, until the application that is being created, "yes," always respecting the data protection law.
These cameras will offer real-time images of the two main beaches, Levante and Poniente. They will be connected to the local police beach station, which can act if necessary.
Citizens can consult them through the website of the Salou Municipal Tourist Board.
