Sabor Salou awaits you
Salou. Costa Dorada. 24 April 2023. Sabor Salou, one of the most successful gastronomic activities on the Salou Gastronomic Agenda, awaits more than 40,000 people from May 5 to 7, 2023. In the 11th edition of the fair, Passeig Jaume I will once again be the epicenter of the best tapas and tastings from 35 exhibitors, who will offer their terraces, music, entertainment shows and a good atmosphere along the promenade.
El Sabor Salou will also offer show cooking, cooking workshops, oil and honey tastings, among other activities.
The hours will be from 6:00 p.m. to midnight on Friday, May 5, 2023, and from 11:00 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, May 6, and Sunday, May 7.
The inauguration of the Sabor Salou gastronomic fair will be on Friday, May 5, at 6 in the afternoon, in the section of Passeig Jaume I closest to the Espigó del Moll, and will be led by the journalist and presenter Danae Boronat.
In the presentation of Sabor Salou, the mayor Pere Granados recalled that “this is the pioneering event of the entire gastronomic agenda in Salou; and the greatest culinary reference, not only on the Costa Daurada, but also in the south of Catalonia”.
He has also emphasized that "for us it is very important to promote our restaurateurs and, also, local products, since, with them, we make territory". In this sense, Granados spoke about olive oil tourism and oil tastings, a product with three DOs in the province of Tarragona and with a great projection at the tourist level.
For his part, the Councilor for Economic Revitalisation, Hèctor Maiquez, has assured that this year the Sabor Salou fair will be "record-breaking" and "historic". For this reason, and to guarantee the comfort of the participants and visitors, as well as the proper functioning, "we have expanded the space of the fair and we have reinforced security".
Finally, the technical director of Sabor Salou, Andrea Mazzanti, has expressed that “we are excited about this new edition of Sabor Salou. We have worked hard to offer a unique and exciting experience that highlights the gastronomic richness of this municipality, which each year exceeds the number of visitors due to its accessibility, quality and good gastronomic and entertainment offer, for all types of public”.
