Tapas Rally: Salou's gastronomic experience for autumn

Salou. Costa Dorada. 16 October 2019. With the arrival of autumn and the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, the municipality of Salou presents the more than consolidated gastronomic experience Rally de Tapas. This 2019 is already its eighth edition with 5 restaurants more than in the previous year, and there are already 35 Salou establishments that will offer a cover and a fifth of beer for 2.5 euros from October 18 to 27. In addition, 7 of the 35 bars and restaurants will also offer a special cover for the little ones, who can enjoy their own miniRally.

Proposals such as the cover "Between two worlds", which is a tempura prawn on meatballs with boletus sauce and squid ink spaghetti, presented by Ramón Almengot of Asador Corsica Restaurants, or a "Coca de Autumn", with ingredients such as mushrooms and green asparagus with shrimp and cava sauce from 4R Gastrobar, are some of the 35 tapas that have been prepared for this Tapas Rally.

But the offer is wide, and so you can also taste "Autumn Sigh", an Edamame creampie with Parmesan buttermilk, mussel and prawn gelée, eggplant and honey ice cream, Lunattic, or "Homage to Mike Oldfield", a lid vermoutin Cling, Cling, with a cube of olive and another of orange juice, a mini skewer of Onglet and pear and Hoisin sauce, ending with a frappe of nougat and chocolate and coffee, creation of Rock & Grill.

These tapas have been some of those that have been shown in the official presentation of the Tapas Rally, in an event in which some of the restaurateurs participating in this edition have been present together with the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, and the Councilor for Economic Dynamization, Héctor Maiquez. Both have highlighted the importance that the catering and gastronomy sector has acquired in Salou in recent years.

Thus, the mayor has said that "we are now in a good moment, because we have a series of very enterprising entrepreneurs and eager to do things; creative in their kitchens, and with good establishments." For his part, the councilor has stressed that the Tapas Rally is an activity aimed at breaking the tourist seasonality of summer and values ​​the cuisine of Salou.

In addition to the assistance of some restaurateurs to the presentation, Francisco Sole, the commercial manager of Salou de Cerveza San Miguel, main contributor to the Tapas Rally has also been present
