The Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, accompanied by the Councillor for Economic Development, Héctor Maiquez, has thanked the restaurateurs for their work, which has contributed decisively to the success of the presentation “Salou, essence of happiness”, and has had a wide echo in the media of the capital of the Spanish state, and in the gastronomic and tourist sectors.
For his part, the Michelin Star chef of Deliranto, Pep Moreno, president of the Associació d’Empresaris d’Hostaleria (AEH) of Salou, has expressed his satisfaction at being able to actively collaborate with his colleagues in the promotion of Salou. He has also thanked the support of the City Council in the promotion of local gastronomy. Moreno has stressed that "Salou restaurateurs are always open to sharing experiences and looking for a common axis that has a positive impact on the image of the municipality and our gastronomy."
Chef Félix Ruiz, from Rock & Grill, also spoke to emphasise that at these events restaurateurs do not wear their own brand, but rather wear the Salou brand, because they know that, ultimately, "we all win".
As a thank you, the mayor gave all the restaurateurs present a commemorative plaque and a bottle of olive oil produced in Salou.
