Salou. Costa Dorada. 16 December 2018.
It is already a tradition in Salou. The mayor is surrounded by neighbors to congratulate the parties tasting with them the typical "brou" or Christmas broth. Up to 120 liters of this tasty consommé has been distributed at the Masía Catalana, in an act in which it has also been possible to enjoy musical performances, such as the Coro Duorum of the Municipal School of Music of Salou. In addition to the broth, toast and sausage were also served, and other foods in this typically Catalan setting.
The event was also used to inaugurate the exhibition of native birds and livestock, which this year has the following species: Goat of Rasquera, hen Flor d'Ametller "Quiques", ànec Mut, indiots of the Delta de l'Ebre, hen Penedesenca Aperdiuada, Negra i Barrada, chicken of Prat Lleonada, coloms, guarà Català, ovella ripollesa, oca Empordanesa and conill del Penedès. This exhibition can be visited free of charge until January 6, 2019, working days in the afternoons from 5 pm to 8 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
