Altafulla is preparing to experience its festival in honor of Sant Martí

Altafulla Township is already immersed in the celebration of its festival of Sant Martí , which itself will take place from 2nd to 11th November. However, this Tuesday October 29th begin the acts of the pre - party to warm up . "This year we tried to combine more cultural events with others which have a turn over of fun but never forgetting the world around us," said the mayor Felix Alonso in the party program . And Altafulla is willing to share with " people who want to enjoy camaraderie of their neighbors in a meeting that has to be unforgettable ."

Pre - party to start the engines
The pre - festival of Sant Martí begins with the trial of the Castellers ( Tuesday, October 29 at 8pm in the Plaza del Pou) . It also includes the concert and Halloween Castañada with Ghetto Orchestra ( Thursday 31st at 12am at Casal Violet ), the II Memorial Futsal with Pepe Pijuan and the Castellers , the Devils , the Cycling Club , the Rock Barcelona and veterans of football (Thursday November 1 at 19 am at the Sports Centre ) and the Chestnut Festival and special test of Castellars ( Friday, 1pm to 9 pm at Can Ixart ) .

The people of Altafulla will notice on Saturday November 2 when the party begins at 9 in the morning with bursting boot Rockets and the ringing of bells that resonate from the church square . The proclamation by Pepi Miro at 12 noon will be followed by the election of the Crown and Pubilla , to be held at 12.30 h . Among the notable events of this day is the representation of the play " Bilderberg Club Cabaret" at Casal Violet ( 22 h ), with Oriol Grau , Fermí Fernandez and Paloma Arza .

Children and Music
For the Younger there is the play Patim , patam , patum . The Patufet musical " theater, puppets and songs are mixed in a show full of imagination , very close , fun and educational , renewing one of the most popular stories of the Catalan tradition . It will play on Sunday, November 3 at 17:30 in the Casal Violet. Meanwhile, on Friday 8th , at 18 h , l´Era del Senyor will host an exhibition of children's drawings and chocolotada for children.

In the musical , we emphasize that the same Friday there will be the concert by the band Satel•lit, Els Pets and  Botrako Bongo . Els Pets present the new album themes that have been recently published , " Area Petita " , after two years of absence from the stage .

Castellera and Sant Martí Party
On Sunday the 10th is the day of the Feast of Sant Martí with the Castellers of Altafulla, Tarragona Children and Vilafranca Xicots . It will be at 12 noon at the Plaza del Pou
Finally , on Monday 11th , the feast of Sant Martí and final day of the festival , we will wake up at 6 in the morning in the Plaza del Pou . At 10.30 h the Rise of the Pilar, also at Plaza del Pou, and the festival procession followed at the Plaza de la Iglesia . The stick dance (12.30 h ) , the Sardanas ( 13 h ) and the Devils Fire Run ( 20.30 h ) also can be enjoyed during the day of Sant Martí .
