Salou. Costa Dorada. 18 January 2024. The Cos Blanc is a unique festival, characteristic of Salou and without a doubt it is the most emblematic and main event of the main winter festival of the capital of the Costa Dorada. This 2024, it is celebrated on Saturday, February 3, and also brings an important novelty: the change of location.
For many years the Cos Blanc has been located on Ciutat de Reus street, but if it changes location in 2024, where will it be held? Well, on Passeig Jaume I, a much larger and safer space for the City Council. In this same space, the municipality has already organized other massive parties, such as Salouween, with great success.
Every year the Cos Blanc welcomes about 45,000 people who enjoy the costumes of the 3,000 people who parade through the street grouped in almost 30 collas, and as many floats, under an intense rain of 25 tons of confetti.
But Cos Blanc is also a laser light show, light bridges and 120,000 watts of sound to dance to the best and most popular music of the moment. With the Cos Blanc the street becomes an impressive party.
On the day of the Cos Blanc, a parade is held at mid-morning and around 7 in the afternoon the party itself begins. This 2024, with the new location, the possibility has been announced that the Salou's restaurant establishments can place a tent along the new Cos Blanc route.
Passeig Jaume I will be the third location of Cos Blanc in its more than 40 years of history. It was first held on Barcelona Street and later moved to Ciutat de Reus Street, where it has been held until now.
