A magnificent fireworks display closes Salou's Nits Daurades

Fireworks Nits Daurades Salou 2024

Salou. Costa Dorada. 16 August 2024. Salou's Nits Daurades 2024 festival has closed with a magnificent fireworks display, in front of thousands of people of all ages who have enjoyed the pyrotechnic show, filling the Jaume I promenade and the beach. It has been 13 days of intense celebration, with thirty events, all free, in which local talent and culture have had a special role.

This has been highlighted by the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, who has emphasised the importance of giving visibility to local artists at a time of great influx of visitors and tourists, thus allowing the talent and living cultural heritage of Salou to be shown.

The mayor has also highlighted the importance of the message of the herald of the festivals, Sergio González Fernández, strategic marketing coordinator of AENOR, who stated that the tourist model of Salou is a reference to follow.

The Passeig Jaume I has been the nerve centre of almost all the celebrations. The imposing stage located in the Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas has welcomed emerging artists from Salou, who have demonstrated their talent.

The programme has included magic, dance, music, a night aquatic march, a salsa night, tributes to great myths, dance, flamenco, popular seguici and traditional Catalan folklore. In addition, various activities aimed at the little ones have been offered. The only setback has been the cancellation of the tribute to Hombres G due to rain.

Grand finale of the Nits Daurades

The Nits Daurades concluded on Thursday 15 August 2024 after the mass in honour of Santa Maria del Mar and the traditional procession of the Virgin, which was transported in a boat by the fishermen of the municipality, who made the entire route of the Paseo Jaume I barefoot.

The fireworks display and the performance of the orchestra 'La Privada' closed this edition of the festivities, which has been highly valued by both the organisation and the artists and the general public.

In this sense, the Councillor for Festivals, Xavier Montalà, commented that "the Nits Daurades have gone very well and have been very well received, thanks to the variety of events for all ages and audiences. We are very satisfied that the events have been multitudinous".

Montalà has thanked the involvement of all the people of Salou in these festivities where the genuine essence of the municipality and the culture of Salou have been prioritised.

Both the mayor and the councillor have deeply appreciated the effort and dedication of all those involved in the realisation of these festivities, including the technicians and administrative staff of the departments involved, the SEM teams, the municipal brigade, the cleaning services, the security guards, the Local Police and the agents of the different security forces, whose collaboration has been essential to guarantee the good development of each event and the safety of all.
