Maldita Nerea, Efecto Pasillo and Javier Gurruchaga at the Nits Daurades 2019
Salou. Costa Dorada. 30 July 2019. The month of August is also the quintessential holiday month of Salou since the Nits Daurades are celebrated, its biggest party, which this year 2019 includes in the program more than 70 acts and 3 great free concerts: Javier Gurruchaga, of the Mondragón Orchestra , on August 12 at 10pm; the Hall Effect group on August 13 at the same time, which will be the opening act for Salou LA Vamps; and finally Damn Nerea on August 14, also at 10pm. The three concerts will be held in the Plaza de las Comunitats Autònomes.
The program of the Daurades Nits will take place between August 8 and 15, although with previous acts and on August 6 and 7. Specifically, the Jove Orquestra Filhamòrnica Catalana will perform on the 6th with a varied repertoire of opera, zarzuela and great pop hits, while the next day the groups Sons de l’Havana and Peix Fregit will offer a concert of habaneras.
The festive program itself will begin on August 8, with inflatables for children and the performance of the festive elements of Salou from 7.30pm. At 8:45 p.m. at the headquarters of the Patronat de Turisme de Salou, the Nits Daurades will be officially opened with the proclamation. He will be in charge of Carlos Romero Dexeus, director of Tourism Research, Development and Innovation at SEGITTUR. This is a state company responsible for promoting innovation (R & D & I) in the Spanish tourism sector and the creation of smart destinations, such as Salou opts for. After the proclamation there will be pyrotechnics and in the Plaza de las Comunitats Autònomes Los 40 Pop -Concerto de Nil Moliner and Los 40 on Tour, with Adrià Ortega and Neus González.
For the 9th of August the Fiesta Holi by Los 40, with Adrià Ortega, is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. in the same square, while on August 10 there will be sardanas at the Luminous Fountain at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., in the Plaza de las Comunitats Autònomes, the British based in Salou Rodney James Piper will present his magic show The Greatest showmen. The same day at 9.30pm the Diables Maleïts and Bruixes Latemó, Xaloc and Morena de Salou, along with other invited groups, will star in a spectacular correfoc (show with fireworks).
On August 11, there will be a show of Aragonese folklore at 8pm in the Plaza de las Comunitats Autònomes, and at 10:30 pm on the Jaume I promenade, the third meeting of Batrobada batucadas will be held, with two routes: one will leave Colon Street and the other from Espigó del Moll. The two will pass through the Jaume I promenade until they are in the Plaza de las Comunitats Autònomes.
The main dishes of the Nits Daurades are concentrated from August 12 when, apart from a children's show at 8pm on the Jaume I promenade, the first great free concert with Javier Gurruchaga will take place, while on the 13th in the Espigó del Moll There will be a fresh piano concert with Lluís d'Arquer, at 8pm, before the performance of the Canary Efecto Pasillo and the LA Vamps from Salou. August 14 will be the turn of Maldita Nerea, who this year has published his latest work "Maldita Sinfónica"
The climax of the Nits Daurades will be on August 15, with the most traditional events such as the Mass of the Fiesta Mayor at 20h in the Church of Santa Maria del Mar, the subsequent procession, which includes a part of maritime procession, and the large fireworks castle that closes this act next to the statue of Jaume I. At 11pm in the Plaza de las Comunitats Autònomes there will be dancing for everyone with the Orchestra La Privada.
The programming of the Nits Daurades will close the weekend with a flamenco performance on Friday, August 16 at 11 p.m. in the same square, and on August 17 at 9 p.m., in the same place, with the review of the great Soundtracks from the history of cinema by the Salou Festival Orchestra, directed by Melani Mestre.

During the presentation of the festival of Salou, Mayor Pere Granados, accompanied by the Councilor for the Area of Cultural Services, Xavier Montalà, stressed that "the Nits Daurades are a great showcase to show what we are and feel as a people" and he has highlighted the acts of "traditional and popular culture as elements that give personality to Salou".
