Finally! PortAventura World already has a date to open doors: on May 15, fun returns to the Salou and Costa Dorada amusement park after several months closed by decision of the health authorities as a result of COVID.
PortAventura reopens its doors but with a 30 percent capacity limitation and with anti-COVID security measures for visitors but also for workers. In this sense, the park has obtained the Save Travel certificate granted by the World Tourism Organization to recognize safe travel measures and protocols.
Precisely because of the security measures imposed by the situation, the visitor who comes to the park must take into account that:
- PortAventura reserves the right not to admit to the facilities those people who do not comply with the special measures in relation to COVID-19. Thus, no person with COVID symptoms or who is in quarantine or home isolation will be able to enter.
- The use of a mask is mandatory throughout the park
- The minimum safety distance of 1.5 meters must be respected
- Before entering certain areas, you will have to wash your hands with the hydroalcoholic gel that will be available to visitors.
- The traffic signs within the park must be followed
- It is recommended to pay by credit card
- In hotels, the buffet will not be self-service and specific time shifts will be determined for dinner, breakfast, or both, which are mandatory
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the resort, except in areas duly marked for this purpose, and keeping a minimum distance of 2 meters. This measure applies to tobacco and any other device such as water pipes, hookahs or similar.
More things to keep in mind before going to PortAventura:
- In the ticket purchase process, you have to select the date on which you would prefer to make the visit but you can access the day you want without having to change the date of access. Access will be subject to the opening calendar, ticket conditions and capacity.
- The operation of some attractions or shows may be altered or limited. In addition, the shows scheduled during the summer season have been canceled.
- At the moment, the shows available are Aves del Paraiso (Polynesia), Bang Bang West (Far West) and Around de World (China)
In addition, in this 2021 season there will be no night tickets or White Nights.
