Sangulí Salou Campsite & Resort has won the ANWB award for Campsite of the Year 2023, specifically in the new category of Best Family Campsite near the sea. On behalf of Sangulí Salou, Oriol Calderón, director of Sangulí Salou's Management Control, collected the award; and Sergi Novell, Director of Accommodation at Sangulí Salou.
The award is given by ANWB, a Dutch association dedicated to mobility, tourism and leisure that has more than 4 million users. El Sangulí Salou has won in one of the categories of the Camping of the Year awards in which more than 1,800 campsites from all over Europe have been rated. For the selection of winners, independent inspections have been carried out at all tourist establishments during the summer of 2022. In these, sanitary facilities, grounds, swimming pools, leisure, shops and restaurants were assessed .
The choice of the winners was announced this January 11, in a ceremony held in Utrecht. In addition, the campsites that have achieved the maximum score of 5 stars and therefore the ANWB Top Camping 2023 certification have also been announced, which has also revalidated Sangulí Salou.
2023 season
This award is a reward for the work done year after year. Now, the Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou is still in what will be its 51st season. To do this, work is being done both on international promotion and on improvements to the venue for the coming season.
In terms of promotion, this year Sangulí is traveling to the Netherlands and Navarre to be able to participate in two international fairs on tourism. This helps to both introduce new customers far and wide and consolidate the international audience. The adventure begins at the Vakantiebeurs Fair in Utrecht, which will be held from January 12 to 15. This is one of the main tourism and leisure fairs in the country, where many travel agencies, countries and companies present new products. The other stop will be in Navartur, the Navarra International Tourism Fair, which will be held from February 24 to 26.
At the same time, Sangulí continues to work on improvements and novelties to face the 2023 season.
