Electoral coalition between Granados (FUPS) and the PSC for the 2023 municipal elections
Salou. Costa Dorada. 02 October 2022. Eight months before the municipal elections, scheduled for May 28, 2023, the electoral movements have already begun, and one of the most important is the coalition that has been announced between Formació Unitat per Salou (FUPS), party of the current mayor Pere Granados, and the PSC, partner of the municipal government of Salou City Council.
The electoral agreement was signed by Júlia Gómez Mesonero, president of FUPS, and Yeray Moreno Macías, president of the Management Board of the Socialist Party of Catalonia in Salou (PSC Salou). The unitary candidacy will be called Sumem per Salou - PSC and will be headed by the current general secretary of FUPS and mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, while number two is reserved for Yeray Moreno, current councilor for Economic Services of the capital of the Costa Dorada.
Júlia Gómez states that "given that we have already been governing together during the last two mandates with a very positive assessment, we are now taking a new step forward with an electoral coalition candidacy, which will keep the objective very clear: manage and execute policies for progress social and economic of Salou and projects to improve the quality of life and well-being of the people of Salou".
For his part, Yeray Moreno explains that "we want to join efforts to guarantee a mandate of stability, while seeking a future strong and highly representative municipal government that reinforces the governance of the municipality, and is able to tackle, with solvency and efficiency , challenges and projects of great importance for the future of Salou"
