Reinforcement of police security in the shops of Salou towards Christmas 2017

Salou. Costa Dorada. 08 December 2017. The Salou Local Police will increase its presence in the commercial establishments of Salou during the 2017 Christmas campaign. This measure tries to protect traders, at the same time as advising them and informing them about how to act in case of a criminal act.

The police reinforcement will consist of the incorporation of two patrols of proximity that will cover all the business hours of morning and afternoon. In fact, the fulfillment of the schedule will be one of its functions. Police and merchants will meet to receive advice that will make them know the techniques commonly used by thieves to commit robberies.
One of the most interesting issues for tenders is related to scams using electronic ways of payment - credit cards - or how to detect counterfeit banknotes.

Citizen Security Councilman David González, as well as the municipal responsible for Commerce, Martina Fourrier, explained along with Chief of the Local Police, José Luis Gargallo, that shopping in the city deserves special attention on these dates. "Guaranteeing your safety and your customers as consumers," is the main intention of this measure.

In the same act of presenting this campaign, it was announced that the 2018 calendar published annually by the Local Police will be given to traders. A sticker with emergency telephones and advice on how to avoid the most common crimes will also be distributed in stores. Among these advice, the need to avoid transferring large amounts of cash to banks, not accumulating cash in the cash registers and always checking the security measures for euro banknotes, are mentioned.
